FAQ

  • The main difference is that drop in doesn’t require reservation and workshop does. The second difference is that during a workshop we will create an art piece to take home. During the drop in, there might not be an art to take home. Also during the workshop, we stay in the workshop room that is separate from the drop in zone.

  • Birthday are held Saturday and Sundays. Other days might be arranged depending on the staff availability. Maximum of 10 adults can comfortable fit in the studio in addition to the children. You are welcome to bring your own snacks, drinks and cake. Program usually goes as follows: 1: arrival of the guests. 2: while children are in the workshop, adults set up the snacks. 3: children continue working on the collaborative present for the main guest, sing the birthday song, blow the candle, cut the cake, open gifts, tattoo corner, playing with bubbles and free play with materials at the studio. 4: packing up.

For a fantastic experience we recommend booking the party at least 2 weeks in advance.

Collaborative birthday gift options: 1: painted/colored white tshirt, 2: 50×50 canvas painted by the children, 3: 50 cm large paper lantern painted by children.

There is no dedicated parking in front of the studio, only paid street parking.

We provide: knife for the cake, cutlery, plates, cups, juice, tea and filter coffee, playlist of your choice.

  • Process art is an approach to art making, that emphasizes the creative process over the final product.  It encourages exploration, experimentation, and personal expression without the pressure of achieving a "perfect" result. We provide no directions or instructions during the creative process, allowing children to follow their inner guide. We ask guiding, open-ended questions about their creations, about their choice of color, material, placement and technique. These questions aim to encourage creative thinking and promote self-expression.

    Focus on Exploration:
Artists (children) are encouraged to try new things and see where their creativity leads.

    Freedom of Expression:
There are no right or wrong ways to create.

    Child-Led and Open-Ended:
In process art, the creator (a child) makes decisions about what to create, how to use materials, and when the piece is "done."

    Learning Through Doing:
The process itself teaches problem-solving, decision-making, and creative thinking.

    Focus on Sensory Experience:
The tactile and sensory experiences of manipulating materials are a key part of the enjoyment and learning.
